New Zealand Falcon 1

There are three races of New Zealand Falcon, this one, the so-called 'Bush Falcon' is found only in the North Island. It is an unusual member of the falcon family, regularly hunting within forest. New Zealand Falcons are also ground nesters and have perhaps excaped some of the attention of non-native ground predators thanks to their ferocious nature.
